Bridges, Partials, and Dentures
If you're missing one or more teeth, Dr. Rogers can restore your mouth's function and appearance with bridges, partials, or dentures. The option you choose will affect the dynamic of your entire mouth, so it's important to know the difference between them.
Bridges - Fixed bridges are secured to abutment crowns placed atop existing teeth on either side of the gap in your smile. Your bridge may replace one tooth or a few teeth in a row. Bridges rely on surrounding teeth for support, so you must have adequate oral health to be a candidate.
Partials - Removable partials are attached to surrounding teeth with hidden clasps. They're a great option for people who still have some healthy teeth, because they are designed to fit with existing dentition like a puzzle piece. Because they're removable, partials can be easily cleaned and maintained.
Dentures - With dentures, patients receive an entirely new set of teeth on the upper and/or lower arch. Dr Rogers can design upper or lower dentures that will fit securely with your gum ridges. Typically, dentures are secured with a denture adhesive, or for reliable stability, Dr. Rogers may recommend implant-supported dentures. Dr. Rogers will work directly with you to ensure natural-looking results. With dentures we can control the size, shape, and color of teeth to create a totally custom design. Choose a style that fits your personality from our book, or bring in a picture of a smile you would like us to recreate.
